The DEKM (German Electric Kart Championship) is the world’s first electrically powered kart championship for the next generation in racing! Within the DKM (German Kart Championship), the first league in German karting, the electric version of the predicate racing series for the next generation is heading for the future. Under the flag of the DMSB (German Motor Sport Federation), the most innovative championship for young motorsport talents will be held on the most modern racetracks in 2020.
The Rotax High Performance Racing eKart “Project E20” is equipped with a Sodi Sigma DD2 chassis specially developed for e-Karts, Vega tyres and is driven from zero to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and up to 135 km/h by the Rotax ePowerpack. With the central fielding of all karts, regulated test days and tyres, equal opportunities and cost efficiency are the focus of this championship.
